Double Page Spread Article - DraftMy first draft was written by hand.

My first draft was very poorly written, it did not seem like a real article and I did not think that it would interest a reader. Therefore, I decided to completely rewrite my article and this was my second attempt.Exclusive Interview With Rosie
A Sudden Rise to Fame…It’s not every day that an Artists first single hits No.1 within a week of being released. So Rosie’s brand new single “Believe” has definitely excited the nation. Her first year of fame has been extremely successful and she has plummeted straight to the top of the charts, but as you are soon to find out it certainly has not been the easiest. Staged has been privileged with an exclusive interview with Rosie today who has revealed all!
What inspired you to become a singer?
I always loved singing. My mum has always said that I managed to sing before I could talk. My only interest was singing and it is definitely a passion of mine. I have just never had the confidence to take a step into the singing career. My mum made the decision of sending me to an audition just after my 18th birthday. She believed I could make it professionally and she hasn’t been wrong yet!
So it has been a year since that audition and we believe you are currently promoting your first album?
I can’t believe it’s been a year already; it’s been a total blur. Yes I am in the middle of promoting my first album, I have found it so exciting being on tour because I have always wanted to travel and experience the world. I no the UK does not compare to the world but you never know where I might be touring in a few years. I must admit though it’s not all fun and games and I am still getting used to the extremely early mornings and late nights, I was never an early riser and I am one who needs there sleep, energy drinks are definitely a necessity.
What inspired you to call your album “Believe”?
Well as you already know, I first single was called Believe. My mum was my inspiration for my first song because she has always believed in me. My mum is my best friend and she has been the best mum, she brought me up by herself and we have always stuck together through everything. I wanted to dedicate my first song to her because she was the one who persuaded me to take one step further.
You must be recognised quite a bit when you out. How do you feel about being ‘Papped’?
(Rosie Laughs)
Being Papped, well it’s certainly not the easiest thing to get used to. I guarantee I will always be caught of guard though and I never look my best but then again that the sort of shots everyone wants to see. I am getting over the embarrassment of these pictures being in magazines but it is definitely a con of being famous and something you have to expect.
A question I am sure everybody wants to know the answer too. Is there a partner on the scene at all?
(Rosie smiles)Well?
Ok, ok there is someone. But I can honestly say its nothing serious, I mean at the end of the day I am so busy at work at the moment that I probably couldn’t even be a dedicated girlfriend. And anyways I am enjoying myself, going out, meeting new people and spending a lot of time promoting my new album. Maybe when all this madness settles down then I would consider finding something a bit more serious but certainly not at the moment. I don’t think it’s the right time.
We heard about a little accident you had last year, what happened?Oh yeah, I broke my leg in three places. I was during the time when we were filming for the video to my first single “Believe”. We had nearly finished and I was due for a break. I was knackered as we had been filming for 12 hours straight just to get a scene finished. Anyway, I was going down the stairs to the buffet and my foot got caught and I fell. I tumbled down at least 12 steps and landed very awkwardly on my leg. Which I later found out I had broke in three places. It was the worst time I could have done anything like this. The video for my single had to be re-written and scheduled for when my leg would be out of plaster and healed. First time I had ever broken anything and it had to be them.
That was very unlucky. There is one last question I would love to ask you before I let you go and that is if you could work with anyone in the future, who would you choose?
Hmmm, well I have had a few music inspirations that I would love to meet but I would definitely prefer to work with other female solo artists like Lady Gaga because she just amazes me with her look, Also Pixie Lott and Cheryl Cole because they are so lovely and I think they are very talented singers. I would definitely enjoy working with them.
Thank you very much for providing Staged with this exclusive interview, it has been great talking to you and we would definitely love to hear all about you tour which you are hoping to promote soon!
